Former security guard of the former president of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovich Serhiy Bernadskyi claims that the former head of state fled Ukraine to prevent bloodshed.

This former employee of the UGO, witness defense of Bernadsky said at a meeting of the Obolonskyi district court of Kyiv in the case of the government of Yanukovych, reports Unian.

So, when asked by the prosecutor when Yanukovych decided to leave Ukraine, Bernadskyi said: «I heard that the president talked about two options, as to the current situation – to stay, call on his supporters and fight for the restoration of legitimate power. The second option is to temporarily leave and restore political justice and constitutional order through political negotiation».
To this Judge Devyatko noted: «Perhaps you do not quite understand the question, the court will clarify it a little. You read out the «Kharkov» appeal of Yanukovych, in which he said that he would not leave Ukraine, but a day later he left the territory of the country. Therefore, the prosecutor clarifies that it contributed to a radical change in opinion».

«The president put the main thing so that blood does not spill. I think that in this connection the decision was made», Bernadskyi said.

As the «Journalist» reported, the lawyer stated that Yanukovych asked Poland, France and Germany to bring troops into Ukraine.
