Ukraine took part in the Second International Forum “One Belt, One Road,” Uryadovy Portal reports.
On April 25, in the capital of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) – Beijing, the Ukrainian delegation led by First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Economic Development and Trade Stepan Kubiv offered the Chinese government advantageous transport routes via territory of Ukraine for communication between the PRC and European Union countries.
“Ukraine is ready to offer and establish cooperation between Ukraine and China enterprises with the subsequent sale of products on the EU markets. We are also ready to develop cooperation on the modernization of Ukrainian industry and create joint production facilities. In fact, it is about creating the foundations for the development of the logistics corridor China-Ukraine-EU through Ukraine,” Kubiv emphasized.
INFO: One Belt and One Road is a proposal put forward by China in the 2010s for joint projects of the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Sea Silk Road. According to PRC official data, One Belt and One Road covers most of Eurasia, connecting developing countries, including new economies, and developed countries. The territory of the megaproject has rich reserves of resources, 63% of the world’s population live; the estimated economic scale totals USD 21 trillion.
