Some 17 new cases of coronavirus infection were registered in China over the past day, including 12 asymptomatic patients, Interfax reports.
According to the State Committee for Health of China, 10 people were infected within the country, 5 people – in the province of Hubei. It is noted that all 5 new cases of COVID-19 have been identified in Wuhan.
The day before, on May 10, Wuhan confirmed the first case of coronavirus infection since April 3. Thus, the number of infected people in active form in Wuhan as of May 11, totals 6, all patients were hospitalized.
It is known that 7 new COVID-19 cases were imported from abroad (all in the autonomous region of Inner Mongolia). Twelve asymptomatic cases were recorded within the country; 780 asymptomatic carriers of coronavirus are under medical supervision.
In total 141 people continue to undergo treatment in Chinese medical institutions, the health condition of nine patients is serious. More than 78,000 people were cured and discharged from hospitals.
