The panel of judges of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast Court of Appeals has recognized the death of the commander of Il’iushin Il-76 transport aircraft in 2014, Oleksandr Bily, as a fact of the Russian aggression.

The Zaporizhzhia Oblast Court of Appeals adopted the relevant decision on June 5.

The panel of judges fully satisfied the claim of Bily’s widow, who also represented the interests of their young daughter.

According to the commander Oleksandr Bily’s widow, Tatiana, this is already the 8th decision by which the court recognizes the death of Ukrainian pilots as a fact of Russian aggression in Donbas (previously 7 families of 9 late crew members succeeded in court to recognize the death of the military on duty as a result of Russian aggression).

It should be reminded that the military transport aircraft IL-76 was shot down by the militants near Luhansk on the night of July 14, 2014 when landing. Then, at the airport of Luhansk, 80 Guards Air Assault Brigade paratroopers were surrounded.

The IL-76 transport aircraft was supposed to deliver ammunition, equipment and the personnel. In total, 9 crewmembers and 40 paratroopers were onboard. They all died.

As The Journalist reported, Pompeo, Merkel have discussed support for Ukraine and countering the Russian aggression.
