COVID-19 outbreak detected in one of Ukraine’s village near Lviv

The head of the Lviv regional state administration Maksym Kozytskiy has said that COVID-19 outbreak was recorded in the village of Davydiv of the Pustomytiv district, Ukraine.

“We have taken reinforced measures to identify those infected and ensure order in Davydiv. As for now, more than 20 people infected with COVID-19 were confirmed in the village. The relevant services conduct rapid testing of residents during the day [April 29 – ed.],” Kozytskiy said.

According to the head of the Lviv Regional State Administration, doctors establish the source of the virus in the village.

According to the order made by the head of emergency response unit, Ivan Sobko, published on the page of the Davydiv village council in the social network, the restrictions on the movement and stay of people in public places were introduced from 4 p.m. on April 29 to 6 a.m. on May 4.

In addition, the Pustomytiv district administration and the executive committee of the Davydiv village council should ensure the functioning of patrols to monitor the implementation of quarantine requirements for the period of restrictive measures.

Also, the district and village councils are obliged to make decisions on the regime of restricting entry/exit from the settlement of private transport and the establishment of quarantine checkpoints.
