Ukraine and Croatia discussed the situation in Donbas and came to the conclusion that the Croatian reintegration model could become the basis for the reintegration of Ukrainian Donbas. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine.

Croatian politicians have named the key ingredients for safe reintegration:
- demilitarization and security,
- introduction of a transitional period,
- ensuring the renewal of property rights,
- social and humanitarian policy,
- reconciliation between the population.
