Danish Prime Minister Mette Fredriksen said the World Health Organization needs to be reformed in order to remain relevant to the modern world, Ukrinform reports.

“We are committed to reforming the World Health Organization to strengthen and resilient the global health system. We also intend to double our financial support for WHO,” Mette Fredriksen said.

She believes the coronavirus pandemic should be used “to awaken, develop a better, greener and more equitable future for the implementation of the Paris Climate Agreement and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.”

Recall that in the spring, US President Donald Trump said that the States would stop paying contributions to WHO, accusing the organization of incorrect reporting on the spread of coronavirus in the United States, the incidence had sharply increased.
