US Democrats accuse of cyber-attack on the state’s voter registration system

The US Secretary of the State of Georgia, Brian Kemp, has opened an investigation into the the state’s Democratic Party. It is noted that Democrats are suspected of attempted hack of the state’s voter registration system. This is reported by CNN news agency.

«While we cannot comment on the specifics of an ongoing investigation, I can confirm that the Democratic Party of Georgia is under investigation for possible cyber crimes,» the statement said.

In turn, the Democrats said that these «scurrilous claims are 100 percent false», and are an example of abuses of power.

«Kemp’s political stunt just days before the election is yet another example of why he cannot be trusted and allowed to supervise election in which he is also a candidate for governor,» said Rebecca DeHart, Democratic Party of Georgia Executive Director.
