Representatives from 15 foreign countries, most of which are NATO member countries, will visit Ukraine to take part in the celebration and military parade dedicated to the Ukraine’s Independence Day.
This was reported by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Stepan Poltorak, during the rehearsal of the military parade in Kyiv.
«We invited our partners to participate in the parade during the celebration of Independence Day. Officials from 15 countries of the Alliance (NATO) have confirmed they will arrive to Ukraine,» – Poltorak said.
Also, according to the minister, 4,5 thousand military and 250 pieces of military equipment will take part in the current parade, dedicated to the occasion of the 27th anniversary of the independence of the country.
«The military parade on the Maidan Nezalezhnosti square will be extremely powerful, greater than it was in the past, ever. In total, 4,500 servicemen and 250 pieces of equipment will take part in it,» – Poltorak stressed.
In addition, 24 units of the Armed Forces, State Border Guard Service, SBU, National Guard, Emergency Situations Ministry, National Police and other law enforcement units will take part in the parade this year , performing tasks to protect and defend the country.
«During the military parade we will show the passage of a mechanized column, new models of weapons and equipment, that have already been supplied to the Armed Forces. Also the new weapon will be shown, which are promising and are currently being tested by the state,» – the minister said.
As The Journalist reported, more than 55 thousand needy people in Kyiv will receive financial assistance.
