Donetsk Oblast’s authorities discussed with the World Bank experts the problems of the Oblast and the issues of possible cooperation. It is reported by the press service of the Donetsk Oblast State Administration on its official Facebook page.
The Deputy Chairman of the Donetsk Oblast State Administration Yevhen Vilinskiy held a working meeting with representatives of the World Bank and the Ministry of the temporarily occupied territories and internally displaced persons.
The theme of the meeting was holding the second event within the framework of the dialogue series “Leadership in cooperation for sustainability and development.” During the meeting, representatives of the Donetsk Oblast State Administration reported about the main problems of the Oblast that can be solved in the format proposed by the World Bank. Among them are humanitarian issues, as well as issues of a cessation of fire along the demarcation line for carrying out repair work on the main water, gas and electricity networks.
Holly Benner, Senior Social Development Specialist at the World Bank, noted during the meeting that the development of a coordination platform for achieving peace is one of the priorities of the upcoming event.
“We are ready to build a dialogue between all branches of government for a quick and effective solution of existing problems in Donetsk Oblast. The international community is clearly understand that the Ukrainian authorities face challenges that directly affect the quality of life of people on both sides of the demarcation line,” the report says.
As The Journalist reported, a network of pharmacies in Donetsk Oblast was selling narcotic drugs.
