‘DPR’ artillery observer who adjust fire during attack on Mariupol in 2015 walks free due to “Savchenko law”

First Deputy Head of the National Police of Ukraine, Vyacheslav Abroskin, said that Valeriy Kirsanov, who helped militants to adjust fire during attack on the eastern part of Mariupol in 2015, is free due to the so-called “Savchenko law”.

“The law is the law and we all must comply with it. Kirsanov, an artillery observer who adjust fire at the eastern residential district of Mariupol, was sentenced to 9 years in colony by a court’s verdict dated June 18; now he walks free in accordance to the “Savchenko law”,” Abroskin said.

On January 24, 2015, militants shelled the Vostochny residential area of the Ordzhonikidze district of Mariupol from the multiple launch rocket systems BM-21 “Hrad”, As a result of the shelling, 30 citizens were killed, another 117 were wounded.

The infrastructure of the district was significantly destroyed – 55 high-rise buildings were damaged (11 of them was directly hit by missiles), as well as private houses, kindergartens and schools.

As The Journalist reported, the militants violated ceasefire regime 12 times over past day in Donbas.
