EC reminds Ukraine of restart her judicial reform

Deputy Director General of the Directorate General for Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations of the European Commission Katarina Mathernova noted that the European Commission believes that Ukraine can solve its “constitutional dilemma” caused by the decision of the Constitutional Court by restarting the judicial reform. It was reported by Evropeyskaya Pravda.

Ukraine faces the ‘constitutional dilemma’ since one of the key subjects of the anti-corruption infrastructure, the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption, was substantially deprived of its powers.

Katarina Mathernova believes that it is possible to try to find a way to resolve the situation by restarting the judicial reform. She noted that the international community is interested in providing assistance to Ukraine.
