Editor-in-chief of online media agency detained in Belarus

Vladimir Chudentzov, the editor-in-chief of the Belarusian by24 agency was detained on suspicion of possession of drugs in a train, heading from Brest to Warsaw. This is reported by Euroradio.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has not yet commented on detention of the journalist. Relatives of the detainee reported that the man was detained for three days. His mother believes that drugs were planted on him.

No criminal proceedings have been initiated so far.

Recall, last year in Belarus, the editor-in-chief of BelaPAN information company, Iryna Levshina, was detained in the case of illegal access to paid information of the BelTA state agency. She was later released.
