The European Parliament on February 11 as a whole and by a majority vote adopted the report on the implementation of the Association Agreement with the EU by Ukraine. Some 526 MEPs backed it, 79 voted against and another 71 deputies abstained. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine welcomed this decision.
The document, which is prepared annually, contains important political messages and assessments for Ukraine, both on the progress achieved in the implementation of the bilateral Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU, and on the problematic issues facing Ukraine.
The Foreign Ministry added that Ukraine is grateful to the members of the European Parliament for condemning the destabilizing actions of Russia, its military presence in Ukraine, the militarization of Crimea, and illegal actions of the Russian Federation.
