Erdogan declares victory in the early presidential elections

The incumbent President Recep Tayyip Erdogan won early presidential elections in Turkey. This is evidenced by the results of processing 97.7% of the bulletins. This is reported by Anadolu.

The head of the High Election Committee, Sadi Güven stated that 97.7 percent of the bulletins are already processed, and the remaining ones cannot have any influence on the election results of the voting. It is noted that five political parties overcame a 10-percent barrier during the early parliamentary elections and will be represented in the country’s highest legislative body. This applies to the Justice and Development Party, the Nationalist Movement Party, the Peoples Republican Party, the Peoples’ Democratic Party and The İYİ Party (translated into English as the Good Party).
After these elections, Turkey will passes to the presidential form of government. This was decided by the previous year’s referendum.
