Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan appointed his son-in-law Berat Albayrak to the post of Minister of Treasury and Finance in the new Cabinet of Ministers of Turkey.
«Erdogan has unveiled the first-ever Cabinet under the new presidential system, appointing his 40-year-old son-in-law Berat Albayrak to the responsible post of the Minister of Finance,» – the report said.
Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu retained the post of Foreign Minister. Hulusi Akar, the former head of Turkey’s General Staff, became Minister of Defense, Anadolu news agency reported.
It also became known that Erdogan reduced the number of ministries to 16.
