Eta storm caused floods in Mexico

In southern Mexico, rainstorms caused by Hurricane Eta resulted in flooding and landslides. Reports by Servicio Meteorológico Nacional.

In Chiapas, at least 19 people have died and more than 900 homes have been damaged. A total of 20 municipalities in the state have been affected by floods and landslides.

It was also reported about two deaths as a result of flooding in Tabasco state, where about 80 thousand people were affected by the downpours.

Some of Mexico’s affected areas are close to the border with Guatemala, which has experienced devastating floods and landslides in recent days.
