The European Union called to put an end to the rocket attacks on Israel from Gaza Strip. This is reported by the EU Spokesperson for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Maja Kocijančič.
“The de-escalation of this dangerous situation is urgently needed in order to protect the lives of civilians. Israelis and Palestinians have the right to live in peace,” the statement said.
Recall, Hamas militants fired about 600 rockets on Israel. The Israel Defense Forces responded with at least 250 strikes at Hamas targets. As a result of rocket attacks, three Israelis were killed, dozens were injured. As a result of Israel’s retaliatory attacks, 12 people were killed and 105 Palestinians were injured.
