Europe was named the safest region in the world in the Q2 of 2020 despite the growth of the risk indicator from 2019, according to the Global Country Risk Index (GCRI) research conducted by the think tank GlobalData.
“The overall risk indicator in Europe rose from 32.7 out of 100 in the Q4 of 2019 to 39.1 in the Q2 of 2020,” the message reads.
According to the analytical center, this figure is the lowest among other regions. To experts, a solid macroeconomic base and an unprecedented level of fiscal and monetary measures taken by the European governments in the fight against coronavirus pandemic are among many reasons for Europe’s leading security position in the world.
