European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said that the EU will continue to strongly support Ukraine and the Ukrainian people on the path to reform and European integration.
According to the press service of the head of state, Yunker said during a telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.
Junker also welcomed the free and democratic presidential elections in Ukraine, which confirmed the country’s commitment to European democratic values.
“The President of the European Commission appreciated the outstanding role of President Poroshenko in promoting the European integration agenda of Ukraine and strengthening the pro-Ukrainian international coalition in the face of Russian aggression,” the press service said.
