Honorary Patriarch of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine Filaret said that the head of the united local UOC is the Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine Epiphanius, and he remains the patriarch.

Filaret said this during the divine liturgy at St. Michael’s Cathedral in Kyiv, reports Unian.

“Today we have the head of His Beatitude, Metropolitan Epiphanius, who is the head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, but I remain the patriarch,” Filaret stressed.
Filaret added that getting Tomos about the autocephaly of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine is a joyful event that took place on Christmas Day.
