The film of the Ukrainian director will be shown at the Filmfest München

The movie «Donbass» directed by Sergei Loznitsa will be shown during Munich International Film festival. This became known after the organizers of the festival published the program of planned activities, reports «Mirror of the Week».

Within the framework of the Filmfest München, which will take place from June 28th to July 7th, in a section of the international independent films the movie «Donbass» directed by Sergei Loznitsa will be presented, which is set to be released in 2018.
The plot of the film is based on the documentary materials about the events that took place in the east of Ukraine, on the lives of people who are forced to adapt to new conditions of existence. The film shoot was held in the city of Kryvyi Rih.

It should be noted that the film became one of the winners of the 8th competitive selection of the Ukrainian State Film Agency. «Donbass» was shown on 9th of May at Cannes Film Festival. Loznitsa won a film award for the best director in the category «Un Certain Regard».

Previously «The Journalist» reported that the Ukrainian director won an award at Cannes Film Festival for best director.
