Oksana Markarova, Minister of Finance of Ukraine, and Suma Chakrabarti, President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), discussed further steps to implement EBRD projects in Ukraine.
According to the Finance Ministry, the meeting between Markarova and Chakrabarti was held on May 9, at the Annual EBRD business forum.
It is noted that the interlocutors discussed the current state of cooperation, the positive consequences of the review of the portfolio of EBRD projects and further steps in their implementation.
“Ukraine has chosen the path of change and is confidently moving along it. We are confident that cooperation in the implementation of energy sector reforms and assistance with the implementation of infrastructure projects will significantly accelerate the implementation of these structural changes,” Markarova said.
At the meeting the EBRD Chief Economist Sergei Guriev focused on the current economic situation of the country, progress in implementing key reforms and the course of cooperation with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
