Sweden Tele2 Telecommunications Group has activated the country’s first fifth-generation (5G) publicly available mobile communications network. This was reported by DPA.
Citizens of Stockholm gained access to 5G as early as May 24, while in Gothenburg and Malmo it may become available before June 24.
The fifth generation mobile network provides more than 1 gigabit data transfer per second, which is four times faster than modern 4G network.
