The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine does not advise Ukrainians to visit Tunisia for rest due to the escalation of the situation in this country. This is reported by the Department of Consular Services of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine on Facebook.
“The tourist season starts in Tunisia. In this regard, we recommend to Ukrainian tourists to take into account the existing security risks in this country, due to the increased level of terrorist threat, the probability of spontaneous protest actions, etc. It should also be borne in mind that the ongoing armed conflict in neighboring Libya and the difficult domestic political situation in Algeria have a negative impact on the situation in Tunisia,” the report says.
The Ministry advised to Ukrainians who are already in Tunisia to refrain from visiting crowded places, always carry identity documents that certify the legality of stay in Tunisia, do not leave without an urgent need the places of organized rest, refrain from traveling to Tunisian vilayets Kasserine, Kef, Sidi Bouzid, Kebili Tataouin, Medenine, as well as to the areas neighboring Libya and Algeria.
