The general director of the state-owned Ukroboronprom concern Aivaras Abromavicius said that the French Embassy in Ukraine allocated EUR 900,000 to improve corporate governance in the concern, UNIAN reports.
“This is a sign of trust in Ukraine, a sign of trust in the changes that are taking place in Ukroboronprom. And this funds are very necessary to move on,” said the CEO.
To Abromavicius, financial assistance will be spent in two directions: the first one is for anti-corruption activity, conducting a forensic audit, and the second one is for improving corporate governance standards.
Also, these funds will help to implement the best standards of corporate governance and simplify the achievement of the ultimate goal – the transformation of the concern into a holding.
The French Embassy will determine a consulting firm that will join this project.
As The Journalist reported, Ukroboronprom received record high state order in 2020.
