Georgia intends to simplify port entry procedures for NATO ships

Georgia has developed a legislative package that will simplify the diplomatic permission for permanently operating NATO naval connections, as well as to ships that are under the NATO operational subordination, to enter its territorial waters and ports, the Georgia Online reports.

Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze has presented to the Parliament the first annual report on the implementation of the government program for 2018-2020, which refers to the development of appropriate steps.

According to the Georgian PM, the intensity of the NATO ships visits to the territorial waters of Georgia has increased recently. Georgia, for its part, is ready to contribute to ensuring peace and security of the Black Sea basin region.

Now the bill is being approved by the departments.

As The Journalist reported, Georgia will become a member of NATO.
