Acting Secretary of Defense of the United States of America Patrick Shanahan arrived in Afghanistan to hold talks with military and government officials, Radio Freedom reports.

The head of the Pentagon told reporters that he intends to point out the need to achieve peace with the Taliban. Note that some officials oppose any peace agreement with the Taliban. The Taliban itself refuses to negotiate with the government in Kabul, calling it "puppets of the West."
Recall that during the operation hold over the past day by the coalition forces and the Afghan army, at least 30 militants of the Islamic State and the Taliban were killed.
As The Journalist reported, another high-ranking military official takes Guaido’s side in Venezuela.
