Global number of coronavirus cases reached 22.5 million

The number of coronavirus cases in the world has reached 22.5 million since the beginning of the pandemic, Worldometer informs.

At the same time, 15,301,257people have been recovered, 791,002 cases were fatal. In total 61,742 (1%) patients in the world are in serious or critical condition.

Coronavirus was recorded in 213 countries and territories. The United States leads the world in coronavirus cases (5,700,931), followed by Brazil (3,460,413), India (2,835,822) and Russia (937,321). Over the past day, 6,676 people have died from coronavirus in the world.

During the night, 9,893 new cases were registered, of which 5,792 were recorded in Mexico and more than 2k in Bolivia. Also, since the beginning of the day 807 people have died from coronavirus, the largest number of them in Mexico (707).
