Hopko: Ukrainian Foreign Ministry does not provide copy of note on termination of friendship treaty between Ukraine, Russia

Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee of Foreign Affairs Mrs. Anna Hopko, stated that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Ukraine does not provide a copy of the note on Ukraine’s desire to terminate the friendship treaty with the Russian Federation.

Hopko told this at the meeting of the Conciliation Council of the faction leaders and chairmen of the parliamentary committees.

She noted that the committee had «applied officially three times in order to receive a copy of the note, which declared Ukraine’s desire to terminate the treaty on friendship, cooperation and partnership with Russia.»

The parliamentarian stressed that the Foreign Ministry should conduct an inventory of the contractual legal framework with the Russian Federation.
