The U.S. State Department announced on November 6 it would impose new sanctions on Russia, since Moscow did not provide reasonable guarantees it would not use chemical weapons after the incident in England. This is reported by Reuters.
The US State Department has informed Congress that the Russian Federation does not comply with the requirements of the US 1991 Chemical and Biological Weapons and Warfare Elimination Act.

«Under the law, Russia had to end the use of the nerve agent Novichok, which was used in the poisoning of Skripal and his daughter Yulia in March, commit to not using chemical weapons against its own people, and allow on-site inspections by agencies like the United Nations,» said in a statement.

The European countries and the United States have expelled more than 100 Russian diplomats after the Salisbury attack. In turn, Moscow has repeatedly denied any involvement in the attack.
As The Journalist reported, US expanded sanctions against the Russian Federation.
