Representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada, Vasyl Mokan, believes that quarantine can be completed at the end of June or later, depending on the epidemiological situation and statistics on the COVID-19 incidence and mortality rate in Ukraine.
“First of all I want to clarify on the terms of quarantine – the official completion of quarantine restrictive measures is the last fifth stage of gradual withdrawal. Therefore, it will be possible to complete quarantine and return to normal functioning at the end of June-July, or maybe in August or September – everything will depend on the epidemiological situation and statistics on the incidence and mortality rate from coronavirus,” Mokan noted.
According to him, if quarantine will be completely abolished, it would mean a full restoration of functioning of the public transport, shopping and entertainment center, and mass contacts between people.
“Such things could lead to an outbreak of the epidemic with almost 100% probability and the need to introduce tough quarantine measures again,” Mokan is sure.
