Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman announced that he would significantly reduce salaries to the management of NAK Naftogaz Ukraine when concluding a new contract.
This was stated by Groysman on channel ICTV in “Freedom of Speech” program.
The head of government recalled that Cabinet of Ministers recently decided not to renew the contract to the current management of the company after it expires at the end of March this year.
“We appealed to the independent supervisory board and asked them that if we consider the new contract from March 22, it will only be on new terms. Wages, bonuses and so on should be reduced significantly, otherwise the government will not vote for it,” the premier said.
According to Groysman, the head of Naftogaz cannot receive an annual salary of $ 2 million.
“Well, $ 2 million a year cannot be earned by a manager of a state-owned company, agree with that. When I looked at how in Europe with this, in the same Poland, the manager of such a company receives $ 500 thousand, but not $ 2 million,” the head of government emphasized.
As reported by “Journalist”, IMF recommends Ukraine to maintain stability and continue reforms.
