Chairman of the Lviv Regional State Administration Oleg Sinyutka said that he was leaving his post.
Sinyutka said this today, April 22, during an operational meeting in the regional administration, UNIAN reports.
The chairman asked the regional state administration’s legal department to “see how to document this decision”.
Also Sinyutka said he intends to remain in politics.
“I stay with our people. I see a political future before me,” said the chairman.
In the second round of the presidential elections in Ukraine, the incumbent head of state, Petro Poroshenko, overtake presidential candidate Volodymyr Zelensky in only one oblast – Lviv.
According to the CEC, in the Lviv Oblast 63% of voters backed Poroshenko, and 35% voted for Zelensky.
Least votes Poroshenko gained in Luhansk Oblast – 8% of voters. In Odesa and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts Poroshenko received 10% of the vote.
As The Journalist reported, Poroshenko received 54,74% of votes and Zelensky gained 43,78% abroad.
