The Ministry of Health of Ukraine will launch an interactive map in the near future. It will provide actual information online about free beds in hospitals, as well as hospitals’ reprofiling. They will primarily take COVID-19 patients, the Ministry of Health reports.
“We have clearly developed an algorithm for the provision of medical care, taking into account and analyzing the development of outbreak scenarios of coronavirus infection in Italy, based on our standards, WHO recommendations and best medical practices of other countries. We will offer and provide medical care in mild cases on an outpatient basis in conditions of self-isolation. For those cases when the hospitalization of patients, intensive care or resuscitation is needed, we have developed a map that will provide emergency teams with actual information on hospitals with free bed, hospitals which is equipped with all the necessary life-saving equipment,” the Deputy Minister of Health and Chief Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine Viktor Liashko said during a briefing on March 19.
