Kyiv Obolon District Court is expected to hear the ex-President Viktor Yanukovych last plea on November 19, in the case of his state treason.
Judge Vladyslav Devyatko declared that he would stop the judicial debate, declaring it to have been completed.
In addition, the judge noted that the court appoints Yanukovych’s speech with the last statement at 10:00 a.m. on November 19, UNIAN reported.
The judge also noted that even if Yanukovych will not come at the specified time, the court would no longer postpone it and will decide on the sentence on the same day.
«The court also draws attention to the fact that Yanukovych was at least twice summoned to court to say his last plea – on October 12 and 23. However, he did not take advantage of this. Therefore, the court does not consider it necessary to determine other reserve dates,» stressed Devyatko.
As The Journalist reported, Yanukovych invited to Kyiv to speak in court with the final word.
