ICC releases new report on situation in Ukraine

The International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague has released a new report on the situation in Ukraine. The ICC Office of the Prosecutor has completed a preliminary analysis of the situation. This was stated in the ICC report dated December 14.

The ICC Prosecutor Office has completed a preliminary analysis of the events during the Revolution of Dignity, the seizure and occupation of Crimea and the war in Donbas. The document states that in Crimea, before and during the occupation by the Russian Federation, were committed crimes such as deportation, murder, torture, abduction, compulsion to serve in the army of the occupying country and others. The ICC prosecutor’s office recorded premeditated killings, strikes against civilian objects, rape and other forms of sexual violence committed in Donbas.

The ICC stated that there were grounds for initiating a case on the above events.
