The European Commission added Saudi Arabia and Panama to the black list of countries that pose a threat to the European Union because of the weak control over the financing of terrorism and money laundering, Kommersant reported.
This decision drew criticism from several EU countries concerned about their economic relations with the blacklisted states.
In particular, some countries are concerned about the inclusion Saudi Arabia in the list, which is the largest importer of goods and weapons. The updated list, which all EU members must approve within a month, includes 23 countries: Afghanistan, American Samoa, Bahamas, Botswana, North Korea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Fr. Guam, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Nigeria, Pakistan, Puerto Rico, Sri Lanka, Syria, Trinidad and Tobago, Tunisia, Virgin Islands and Yemen.
As The Journalist reported, a group of editors and journalists, who had mocked their colleagues for 10 years had been sacked in France.
