Approval for assigning a new date to Brexit needs the unanimous support of all 27 remaining EU governments, Bloomberg reports.
The European Union may postpone the Britain’s exit from the EU, and postpone Brexit by the second half of the year. This requires the consent of all 27 EU members. However, some European politicians support only a few weeks or refuse to renew.
The report notes that the British Prime Minister Theresa May does not lose hope of reaching the approved deadline, despite the failure of the agreement in parliament.
Recall that the approval of the agreement on the Britain’s withdrawal from the EU was backed by only 202 deputies out of 318 votes needed, and 432 members of Parliament voted against.
