The European Union with its member – France, Germany and Great Britain – reaffirmed its obligations under the nuclear agreement with Iran.

This statement was made during a meeting with Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Abbas Abbas Araghchi in Brussels, the press secretary of the European Commission Maja Kocijančič reported.

«The EU took this opportunity to reaffirm its support to continued full and effective implementation of the Iranian agreement by all parties», – Deutsche Welle citing the Maja Kocijančič.

The EU is ready to implement this agreement while Iran follows to its commitments.

«In the next few days it is important to keep in touch for all sides to prevent an uncontrolled escalation», – the message said.

Representatives on foreign affairs of the EU, and representatives of the countries, which signed the nuclear agreement, met with the Iranian delegation a few hours before US President Donald Trump announced the US withdrawal from the agreement.
