Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Hugues Mingarelli states that Ukraine’s populists and oligarchs interfere with the implementation of the Ukraine–European Union Association Agreement.
Mingarelli said this at the meeting of Assembly of the Ukrainian side of the EU-Ukraine Civil Society Platform, Interfax-Ukraine reported.
As the Head of the EU Delegation noted, it is necessary to convey to the citizens of Ukraine importance of implementing of the Association Agreement.
«This is also important, because, as you know, there are a number of people in Ukraine, who do not accept this agreement and try to prevent its implementation. We are talking about populists and oligarchs. All those who have personal selfish interests and who is against modernization of political and economic structures in this country», – Hugues Mingarelli said.
Mingarelli believes that the efforts of several ministries is not enough and it is necessary to unite the efforts of the entire government, the Verkhovna Rada and civil society to implement the Association Agreement.
As «The Journalist» reported, the European Union declared that SBU should be deprived of the authority to fight economic crime.
