The European Union will impose sanctions against five people involved in organizing the so-called «elections» on the territories of Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts, not controlled by the Ukrainian government.
Radio Liberty reported, citing its diplomatic sources in the EU.
The names of five people, participated in the organization of elections, will be added to the sanctions list imposed by EU for actions against the territorial integrity of Ukraine. They will be banned from entering European Union countries; their assets in the EU will be frozen.
The decision on imposing new sanctions can be taken during the meeting of EU foreign ministers, which will take place on November 19 in Brussels, and officially formalized during several weeks thereafter.
Now the list includes 155 people and 44 companies.
As The Journalist reported, OSCE participating States condemned illegal «elections» Donbas.
