In European Union, sanctions were imposed against four Russians, including head of GRU, Ihor Kostyukov, for using chemical weapons in British Salisbury against Sergey and Julia Skripaley.

“EU Council imposed sanctions against nine people and one company in accordance with the new regime of restrictive measures against the use and distribution of chemical weapons, created on October 15, 2018,” the message said.
Also, sanctions were imposed on Syrian company responsible for the development and production of chemical weapons, Center for Scientific and Research Development, as well as five Syrian officials directly related to the activities of the specified research center.
Restrictive measures prohibit entry into the EU and the freezing of assets of both individuals and legal entities. In addition, persons and companies from the EU are prohibited from providing funds to persons who are subject to these sanctions.
