Ihor Petrashko took part in Ukraine-EU Summit

Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine, Ihor Petrashko, took part in the 22nd Ukraine-European Union summit in Brussels (Belgium). The Journalist reports with reference to the press center of the Ministry of Regional Development.

During the Summit with the participation of the political leadership of Ukraine and the European Union, the Minister outlined a set of initiatives that are being implemented by the Ukrainian government in order to stimulate the economy to overcome the consequences of the coronavirus epidemic.

“The government’s steps are aimed at improving access to finance, access to markets, improving regulation, promoting modernization, sustainable development of industries and combating unemployment,” Ihor Petrashko stressed.

In particular, the parties discussed stimulating business development through improving the “Available loans 5-7-9%” program, preserving jobs through the “Partial unemployment assistance” program, investment incentives.

The minister noted that, despite the global coronavirus pandemic, Ukraine remains a reliable trading partner for the EU member states and is ready to continue to confirm its status as a reliable player in international food markets.

“In the mid- and long term, Ukraine will continue to move towards integration into the European economic system. For this we must use all the opportunities that are created during the transformation of the global economic system,” the minister added.

Zelensky: We will move towards industrial visa-free agreement with the EU.
