The International Monetary Fund (IMF) (main creditor of Ukraine) projected the weakening of the national Ukrainian currency to UAH 28.68 per U.S. dollar in 2019, from UAH 27.19 per U.S. dollar in 2018.
This is evidenced by the forecast indicators of the IMF relative to the nominal GDP of Ukraine in the hryvnia and dollar equivalent in the World Economic Outlook, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
According to the document, IMF projected the weakening of the hryvnia to UAH 29.96 per U.S. dollar in 2020, to UAH 30.55 per U.S. dollar in 2021, to UAH 31.01 in 2022, to UAH 31.47 in 2023 and to UAH 31.94 in 2024.
As The Journalist reported, inflation in Ukraine will rise to 10% by the end of 2018.
