WASHINGTON, D.C.: Ms. Kristalina Georgieva, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, has said that Ukraine must fulfill the previously agreed conditions to launch a new USD 5.5 billion EFF extended financing program.

The results of the Fund’s new study were published on the Peterson Institute for World Economy YouTube channel.

“Regarding Ukraine, we have reached a working-level agreement, which provides for the fulfillment of certain conditions. Work continues, and our experts continue to interact with Ukraine. If these conditions are met, the Fund will turn to the Executive Board,” Georgieva said.

On December 7, 2019, Ukraine and the IMF agreed on a new cooperation program for a period of 3 years in the amount of about USD 5.5 billion of special drawing rights.
