A meeting of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Board of Directors on the approval of Ukraine’s new stand-by financing program is scheduled for June 9, according to the Fund’s website.
The meeting will also evaluate the previous EFF program. In December 2019, Ukraine and the IMF agreed on a three years extended fund facilities (EFF) in the amount of 4 billion special drawing rights (about USD 5.5 billion).
On May 22, the IMF announced that it had reached a staff level agreement with the Ukrainian authorities on a new 18-month stand-by (SBA) program to help Ukraine deal with the COVID-19 pandemic.
