The day before, on June 16, in the village of Vesnyane near Mykolaiv’s polygon of a solid household waste burned, reported State Service of Ukraine for Emergency Situations in Mykolaiv oblast.
“It has been established that garbage was burning on an estimated area of 2000 sq. m. and there was a dense smoke. Rescuers with the help of improvised means (crackers) and supply of water trunks extinguished the fire”, the message says.
From the State Service of Emergencies, 11 personnel, 3 units of equipment, from KP “Mykolaivkommuntrans” – 1 bulldozer, who covered the garbage with a layer of soil, worked.
