In Senate, the United States approved for approval a resolution on the 5th anniversary of the Revolution of Dignity, which honors the memory of the Heavenly Hundred and condemns the continuing Russian aggression against Ukraine. This is reported by the US Embassy in Ukraine on Facebook.

Senate’s Foreign Relations Committee reviewed and recommended a resolution for adoption by the full composition of the upper house of Congress. More than two dozen senators from Republican and Democratic parties are co-authors of the resolution.

The text of the document welcomes the progress made by Ukraine in upholding the rule of law, bringing the country closer to Euro-Atlantic norms and standards, strengthening the combat readiness of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and their compatibility with NATO criteria, as well as creating an autocephalous Orthodox Church of Ukraine.

In addition, the importance of continuing reforms in Ukraine, aimed at fighting corruption, building a solid and free economy, establishing democracy and the rule of law, is emphasized.

At the same time, the resolution calls on the Russian Federation to release the crew members of the vessels of the Ukrainian Navy seized in the Kerch Strait and condemns the continuing destabilizing actions of the Russian Federation towards Ukraine.
