India after eight months has successfully test-fired its ballistic missile again, which is designed for a shorter range. This is reported by Korrespondent news agency.
It is reported that Agni-I ballistic missile was launched from a mobile launcher located at the test site on Abdul Kalam Island, located in the Bay of Bengal off the coast of Odisha.
It is noted that the rocket carrier can contain both a nuclear charge and a conventional up to 1 ton weighing warhead, while the rocket itself weighted 12 tons, and has 700 – 900 km flight range.
Note that India has about 75 Agni-I complex launchers.
